Three Proven Ingredients Of Successful Personal Development

self developmentThere are so many different blogs on Personal Development and Self Improvement out there, it is incredible! So, you might think, is this one just going to be another one that can be added onto this list? To answer this particular question, I would like to share a few points to provide a clearer picture to you on what this blog is all about.

As outlined on the About page, the overall objective is to provide simple techniques and incentives to help you make your personal development goals come true, whether it is for work and for your private life.

To achieve this, the focus here lies on something specific, which is the Self Development Plan. Sometimes it is also called a self improvement plan, a personal development plan or even simply an action plan – but the name does not really matter. Using such a plan as a simple tool, there are three other personal “ingredients” needed to make things happen and they are explained a bit further down.

Who should be part of this blog?

If you are looking for hands-on advice on how to create, complete and follow through your personal development plan as part of your annual interview, following a training or simply for yourself, you are in the right place.

If you are generally interested in self development, but do not necessarily know where to start, you are also in the right place.

Are you part of one of these two groups?

If so, you must be one of those persons who are willing to move on and change something in their lives, that is great! To do this at your full satisfaction, in simple terms, you mainly need to have the following three “ingredients”:

  1. Mindset & Focus,
  2. Motivation
  3. Talent (i.e. the necessary skills) & Resources.

What can you expect on the Smart Self Development Plan Blog?

The above mentioned “ingredients” might sound a bit abstract to you, so, I will break down these three elements into simple, actionable steps which go along with the “Smart Self Development Plan” tool that can help you to follow through your personal action plan.

New content will be posted twice per week: Tuesdays and Fridays.

In the beginning, it will mainly be written content supported with some visual media. In the future, I plan to do a podcast as well.

Enough explanation and reasoning here for now, I look forward to seeing you on this blog for the next post which deals with THE No 1 Question I get asked when it comes to self improvement: “How can I keep the momentum?”

If you would like to know more about my personal motivation to launch this blog, please have a read through this post.
