How To Learn Something Hard In Just 6 Days

SSDP_how to learn something hard in just 6 daysDid you ever put a book down because you thought it had too many pages to read it all?

Did you ever want to try something new and then you stopped even before you started because you think it will take too long?

If you can relate, this article is for you.

If you cannot relate, you might want to skip this and check out this other article.

For those of you who are sitting in the boat with me, please continue reading.

Here is why.

If you weren’t interested in learning, you wouldn’t be visiting this blog, nor read my newsletter. You want to learn. You push forward. Whatever motivates you.

Secondly, life is short. You never know what is going to happen.

And with (new) knowledge we grow, we stay curious and we remain interesting to other people.

Some of you like to read biographies, others watch videos to learn how to play the guitar, others again listen to audio books while going for a run. Or, maybe you started a new job and you follow around your new colleague for a week.

In whichever way you are learning, it is possible to learn something in just 6 days. Not 6 weeks or 60 weeks, no just 6 days. It does not have to take “forever” to learn something new.

If you want to know how, let me introduce Tai Lopez to you. In case you live in the Hollywood Hills, you might know him. But for those of you who don’t know him, he is – among many other great things – a great student of life. He is the only guy that I know who reads one book a day (wow!). And he became a self-made millionaire in his 20’s.

So, with this little introduction, I hand over the floor to him and let you discover how to learn even quicker than you are probably already doing:

How was it?

Wait, you didn’t watch the video?

Ok, we wait for you here until you are done. We have the time.

Now, here comes the question from me to you (similar to Tai’s question at the end of the video, but with a different twist):

What is one goal that you set yourself for 2014, but you actually havn’t done anything about it (yet)? Can you commit to change this in the next six days with one small action per day?

If yes, please share your answers and thoughts below in the comments.

One, two, three, go!

Rock on!

P.S.: Before we go, I have a special treat for you, as I am launching something new.  🙂 And it’s completely free. Go here to check it out right now.

  1. His argument for learning things in 6 days seems to be symptomatic of our age and time where we are overloaded with info and have only a minute to spare on content. But I think Lopez makes an inspiring case for seizing the day, although I didn’t hear him talk about concrete tips on how to speed read, for example. I tend to read very fast, but I have to admit, not everything sticks and I often have to read passages again and again. Maybe this can be the subject of one of your next posts, Jantje?;)
